Spiderman Alain Robert Climbed the Petronas Twin Towers

Have you heard of this news? I know it's a bit old, but the story's really interesting so I decided to post it anyway :)

Alain Robert a.k.a Spiderman, the well-known solo climber tried to climb the Petronas Twin Towers again on 19 March 2007. And yet he failed to finish the climb as he did in year 1997, where he was caught at the 60th floor, 28 short of the 88th storey skyscraper. He failed again this time at the 60th floor when the Malaysian authorities caught him.

Did you know that Alain Robert is quite famous? He has managed to climb buildings all over the world like Philadelphia's Blue Cross, France's Total Elf Fina, and even Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world, currently. The best part is that he climbed buildings using his bare hands, without any other equipments ! This guy is nuts!

Maybe the Malaysian government should take this oppoturnity instead and let the Spiderman climb the KLCC for the Visit Malaysia 2007 campaign. That should bring a lot of media publicity and boost the spirits of Malaysians in the upcoming events!

End note: It’s funny the guards did not saw him trying to climb the KLCC. 60th floor? That’s quite a record. FYI, the Sabah state government allowed him to climb the Sabah Foundation building (Yayasan Sabah) once and it was successfully done.
